Twenty-five UK academics have been found guilty of research misconduct in the past three years, including faking results, plagiarism and the misuse of funds, a Times Higher investigation has revealed. A Times Higher investigation shows a sharp increase in the number of cases in universities, suggesting that a US-style culture of whistleblowing and zero tolerance has arrived in the UK.
